Currently, both systems are in the same price range. The base price of Playstation 3 system is $399 and Nintendo Wii "In Demand" price is also $399. So which system is better? If your a hard core gamer, you are probably laughing right now, but the one thing you must remember is playability. Can a beginner or child pick up the average PS3 game and play it without detailed instructions? Not really. The graphics on the PS3 are mesmerizing and more advanced than Wii, but ANYONE can pick up a Wii game and jump right in.

I would attribute this to two factors. First, the recent Dec. 22 shipments to the smaller local retailers. Most of these stores still impose a 3 console limit which tempts more than a few long line campers to buy 3 and, of course, flip 2 on ebay. But let's not forget the other factor, the local stores owners see what is going on and in the name of capital gain, are telling the local customer they are out and selling their stock on ebay.

Just crazy, what is currently going on. People are getting sucked into bidding wars driving the prices to over $500 when currently there are new listings for $399 and under.

As you probably know, the Nintendo Wii is in extremely limited quantity and is the hottest selling toy this season. If you want to buy a Wii online, then you had better buy one as soon as you can. The longer you wait to buy a Wii console and the closer it gets to Christmas, the higher the cost. Looking at last year's Amazon pricing (below) you will notice that as the demand for the Wii increases, the price of the Wii also increases. So if you decide you want to buy Wii a couple weeks before Christmas, then expect to pay $550 - $600 per Wii console. Try our Score-A-Wii Page as see what the market price is doing. Using the Score-a-Wii link above, you can find a Wii for about $150 less than the Amazon price. Let's be honest. Amazon's resellers charge the most for the Wii Console. Why? Because they can. Amazon is the largest retailer on the Internet and a certain amount of people would rather pay the high price for the sake of a convenient & quick purchase.
